Homewood Suites by Hilton Grand Rapids Downtown

Beautiful old hardwood floors in the room, but they unfortunately were really creaky which was hard at night with a sleeping toddler but otherwise no complaints, the hotel staff were incredibly friendly, and responsive to any needs we had while on our trip.

My husband and I were gifted a stay from our kids to go to the Home and Garden show. The room exceeded our expectations with a full kitchen, beautiful furnishings, and pampering bathroom towels. The hair care and body wash smelled amazing!! Our only complaint was that the mattress was VERY hard. As seniors, we are used to a nice pillow top mattress to ease the pain in our bodies. Sadly, we didn't get much restful sleep here. One last shout out to the kitchen staff who make the wonderful breakfast - WELL DONE!! There were the usual expectations such as waffles, bagels and omelettes, but also fun additions like chicken wings and chia pudding!!! The front desk people were also very friendly and helpful. We will definitely recommend this place to others!!!

Staff was excellent and the room was awesome!! A little pricey but worth it. Parking is very pricey in GR and they should be able to validate parking for people staying there.

My night started out terrible with getting stuck on the road because of ice accidents and sliding through freeways. However, when I checked into the hotel Khali did an amazing job making me feel comfortable and welcomed. I was also having trouble with my company card and she made the process simple and was very understanding. Khali had amazing hospitality and customer service at 1am! I have had my fair share of late night check-ins and travel quite frequently for business, but I have never felt this safe and this taken care of before! I will definitely be staying at this location every time i’m in downtown! (Also the parking situation is not bad at all. If you’re coming in at night there are motion sensor lights that make you feel even more safe!)

I am giving this hotel 5 stars because of the service, the room, the location and cleanliness. I called to make a change to our reservation the same day and Lexi at the front desk was amazing. She helped us out from the moment I called to make the change, to check in and check out. Couldn't have asked for better service from Lexi, great person to work with. The room that we stayed in was the size of a larger apartment and had everything we needed and wanted. Breakfast was great and the lobby was very clean. The location was perfect as it was right across from the wedding venue and reception that we were in town for. Highly recommend this hotel and again, thank you a ton to Lexi for giving us a 5 star welcome to the hotel.

Found out that only the first floors have the actual suites. I planned to have separate rooms for my daughter and I birthday, which was the 21st. There is no Jacuzzi and the pool is not as expected. Breakfast lady was sweet and timely. Great options.

Wanted a night away from home with something relaxing for the family and I and that’s just what I found! Upon entering the room, it was clean, organized and insanely beautiful! Well worth coming here! The hotel itself is easy to find and same with the parking! Staff (Robyn was the main one we seen) was very professional, helpful whenever needed and answered any questions that were asked! I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone as long as you can handle it being in the downtown location and possible noises from downtown. To be expected though so didn’t cause any issues. Can’t wait to come back!!

I loved our stay at Homewood Suites downtown Grand Rapids! It was only one night but we will definitely stay here again when we return to GR. Stayed on the 6th floor interior facing room. Super quiet and unique room layout that felt like an apartment. Loved the old wood floors found in parts of the hotel. It gave the hotel a unique homey feel. Very clean. Staff were very nice and patient with everyone. Great location to restaurants and entertainment.
